Starting 2025 and going forward, letters will no longer be sent to all retirees notifying them about the Annual Christmas Social. 

New retirees will receive a letter notifying them that they will be provided a retiree ticket for the Christmas Social, and when said event is.

Various considerations lead to this change, and they are as follows: 
 

1. The Union currently has no tool or process to identify when retirees change their mailing address, relocation, or passed away. As a result, the number of undeliverable mail-outs continue to grow each year; and 

2. Our official website and Facebook page are now our most reliable sources of information regarding dates and times of all social events. The digital calendar also includes the dates of the annual adult Christmas and childrens social events.

Note: A final notice will also be issued to retirees in December or January notifying retirees of this change.
