Good day everyone,

We are aware of the recent decision by the City of Regina to not observe 19 September 2022 as a holiday. We will be seeking advice from our National Body as well as other resources in order to make a determination if there are grounds for a grievance regarding this issue.

Preliminary discussions on this topic suggest this is not as straight forward as the issue we dealt with last year regarding the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Statutory holiday.

In the meantime, please attend your regularly scheduled shift while we work through this.
